The debut of baby Brewer

I had my first doctors appointment on March 29th. It was my ten week appointment and we got to have an ultrasound of the baby done. The baby was moving like crazy during the ultrasound (maybe it was that couple sips of diet pepsi I had before ha ha) It was so fun to see the baby actually look like a baby. Garen gets updates on his ipod about the developmental stages of the baby. I just have to laugh and roll my eyes. The other morning he proceeded to tell me what was good to eat for breakfast. I told him I would eat whatever so long as he made it. The other day he was also arguing with me about how far along I was. Needless to say I was right and he was wrong. I will be 14 weeks tomorrow and into my second trimester and I am crossing my fingers in hopes that I don't throw up as much. We went on date night yesterday and saw the back up plan. It was pretty cute. They kept showing her eating all this food... I throw up at the very sight of food and she would eat hotdogs... I love hotdogs but you couldn't pay me to eat one now! My belly is growing a little. According to the development charts the baby is 4 inches and weighs 2 ounces. Garens update says it about the size of an orange... I told him that a pear might be a better comparison since our baby does have a head and a body and is not completely round. Even as I am typing this he is correcting me and saying the baby is the size of a lemon... ha ha I don't think there is really a size difference but whatever. I am excited that he is so excited for the baby. We are both so very happy!!

GUESS WHAT!?

Me and Garen decided to finally break the news (for the very few there are that still don't know) We are going to have a BABY. I am due October 25th! We couldn't be more happy! Garen and I had a hard time starting a family... and after two years of trying we are excited for our first little one to be on the way! It was funny how it all came to be. We were going to the Womens Center in Ogden.. After christmas I was feeling down about not being able to have a baby and me and Garen decided it was time to do something about it. I was told this center in Ogden was good at helping with infertility and all throughout December I couldn't get it out of my mind. I called an made an appointment and was told that going on this medicine would help. So I took the pills and had to come back for follicle checks. The first ultrasound showed only one follicle and she said that it was too small to be an egg, the only good news I got was that I had a great utersus. I couldn't help but laugh when she said that. The doctor had me come back a couple days later for another ultrasound and there was nothing there. I was heart broken and she told me that the odds of me getting pregnant that month were slim to none. I cried the whole way home and poor Garen was trying anything he could to make me feel better. He even went out and bought me a purse. The doctor increased the dose of my medcine and told me that we would try again next month. Well finally the monday after Valentines day I had a dream that I had 6 babies!! It was quite the dream. I decided that even though the doctor told me that I would not be pregnant that I would get a test and see anyways. I took one test and it came out POSITIVE I was so excited that me and Garen just jumped up and down and hugged forever. I still could not believe that I was actually going to have a baby so we went out an bought three more tests. They all came back positive but I still wanted more proof so I went to the hospital for a blood test. I was told that I was in fact pregnant!! The medicine ened up working the first time. My OB said that I was pregnant by the first ultrasound and thats why she saw what she did. I have been really sick but I can't complain. The joy that comes from being able to have a baby in indescribable and not being able to get pregnant for so long was so hard but we know that the Lord knows all and knows what is best. Garen will make such a great father. We have dodger clothes for the baby already (thanks aunt Nicole) and baseball shoes. Garen gets the boy stuff and I get bows. We will be happy with a boy or a girl. We find out June 7th what the sex is. Garen lost his job and our insurance the same day we found out we were having a baby so we will be moving in with my parents so that we can save money for the hospital bills and also because Garen will be going to Law school soon. My parents are excited that they will be able to see the baby everyday. I have ultrasound pictures of baby Brewer but I will have to get Garen to put them on the blog because I am not good at those things. Some of the pictures are blurry because the baby was moving like crazy! I can't wait to be a mom!!!

I am so bad at this blogging thing. I never post pictures and I never know quite what to say... Maybe I will just turn it over to Garen and see if he does any better! Big changes will be happening soon. We are moving in may and school is almost out! I have one online class to take this summer and I will be done. I don't think I will know what to do with myself when I am done... Garen and I are busy as usual. Garen is working hard in school and I feel like all I do lately is work and study for chemistry. I will be so happy when I am done with chemistry. Everyone in my class is doing bad, in fact the teacher is going to have to make adjustments to the grades so that enough people will pass the class so he wont get in trouble! I am going to have Garen help me post pictures so more is coming soon!!
